‘Intentional’ laughter is very different from ‘conditional’ laughter. Conditional laughter is based on our sense of humor, or what society or our peers perceive as funny. Intentional laughter is learning to step through our inhibitions and to laugh for no reason! We are making a choice to laugh throughout our day.

In this session Jill & Dan, your laughter professors, will discuss intentional laughter and share “Stress Reduction Secrets” through the simple, yet profound practice of Laughter Yoga. We’ll explore the science of laughter and learn to peel away the layers of inhibition, programming and mental roadblocks created by self, family and society. Beneath these barriers lies an infinite ability to laugh.

You’ll explore these personal barriers by not just thinking, but doing! Experience laughter exercises, intermingled with gentle yogic breathing, to facilitate stress release and physical exercise. We’ll end with a laughter meditation and guided relaxation to leave you firmly grounded with your heart open and mind calm.

You’ll laugh, you’ll breathe deeply, and you’ll learn new ways to release any stress in your life.
